Design of X-TWELVE was realized as a result of repeated wind tunnel experiments and analysis of large volume of data obtained in riding tests in circuit without any compromise. Elegant silhouette created by beautiful accumulation of refined lines, and spoiler and ventilation parts designed paying attention to every detail. Its premium design realizes top level aerodynamics superior to X-Eleven. X-TWELVE is not only a successor of X-Eleven but also a crystal of aero-design created in almost 20 years of helmet development and manufacturing of SHOEI.

Innovative shape of X-TWELVE is characterized by Aero Edge Spoiler 2. Its impressive shape covering from rear head to both sides is originated from an idea for a device of racing and reborn as a compilation of SHOEI's aerodynamics technologies as a result of testing in race scenes, repeated wind tunnel experiments and riding tests. Its ultimate aerodynamic performance promises stability not only in high speed riding but also in various motions such as rearward viewing.
Most Suitable Shapes in Best Locations for Best Ventilation Performance
Shapes and positions of ventilation system are refined to realize an enhanced ventilation performance. A front air intake above a shield is positioned in locations to absorb wind in an ordinary riding position and an Air Scoop 3 is located in position where wind absorption is not disturbed by cowling in a forward-bent position. Wind is absorbed effectively in any riding position. A top air outlet is separated from Aero Edge Spoiler and located in a position where negative air pressure is most effective and exhausts hot and humid air strongly. Rear/Neck outlet positioned in rear head exhausts every single hot air inside a helmet using negative air pressure. All ventilation parts can be opened and closed by gloved hand.

Air inside shield is exhausted strongly to restrain fogging and secure clear vision.
Side Air Outlet equipped in side head exhausts an air inside a helmet more than two times stronger than X-Eleven. Strong ventilation combined with a lower air intake from around mouth enhances anti-fogging performance of a shield substantially and secures clear vision during ride. This new system was developed after repeated tests in race scenes of MotoGP. Accumulated data in various circumstances such as various temperatures, humidity and riding styles of many riders helped us finalize shape and position.
